Governance & Constitution

NSEG operates under a well-defined constitution that guides our mission, membership, and professional standards as a specialist group of NMGS.

Aims & Objectives

Advance the science and practice of economic geology in Nigeria through research, education, and collaboration.
Promote sustainable mineral exploration and mining practices that benefit Nigeria's economy and environment.
Foster professional development and networking among economic geologists across Nigeria and internationally.
Publish scholarly journals and organize conferences that contribute to the body of geological knowledge.
Advise government agencies and the private sector on matters related to economic geology and mineral resources.

Code of Conduct

Members shall uphold professional integrity and ethical standards in all geological practice and research.
Members must remain in good standing by paying annual dues and adhering to NSEG's constitution and bylaws.
All members shall promote environmental responsibility and sustainable resource management practices.
The Executive Committee is elected by members and serves a defined term as stipulated in the NSEG constitution.
Disputes shall be resolved through the established channels outlined in the NSEG constitution and bylaws.
